Sonder Zine
sonder - n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. Sonder Zine, a photography zine by Abraham Cepeda, revolves around the term "sonder" from John Koenig's project "The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows" - a compendium of invented words aimed to fill a hole in the English language. Cepeda's work is a window peek into the human experience of the current day. He captures undirected, honest photographs of people from varying subcultures of America, their interactions with others and their environment. Cepeda also finds interest in human expression and gesture.
